Wow – I can hardly believe it – we’re 4 weeks into 2010 already. This is my weekly update for how I’ve done with regards to my goal for this year, or should I say for the first deadline I’ve set myself for March 31st.

The first couple of weeks were awful – meaning I didn’t get any lenses published – so it could only get better, and it has! Not as well as I would have liked – but better!

Let’s recap on my aim for this week:

Current Status:

• Total Lenses: 20
• Lenses under lensrank 100k: 12 (60%)

Status Goal For Week 3:

• Total Lenses: 24
• Lenses under lensrank 100k: 14 (60%)

I did manage to get 2 new lenses published for this week, which is only half of what I set out to do, so if I was to do 4 lenses a week so far I’m now 10 lenses behind schedule. That’s a bit scary!

In a situation like this I’m going to have to have a look at whether my goals are realistic, and possibly adjust! Now – knowing what things have been like on my end these past few weeks – there’s not a lot I could have done about things, and I’m still thinking that I can turn things around, though it’s not getting ant easier if something doesn’t give quite soon. However – I believe it will.

Part of the reason why I haven’t released the amount of lenses I would have liked to is that I’m following Tiffany Dow’s 52-week Squidoo Challenge, and build my lenses to the template set out by the challenge, which gives me a lot more work to do than what I normally would have! I’m now getting more organised and familiar with the template, so I think this will improve my productivity.

Therefore I’m not going to make any adjustments just yet – but rather see how this week goes. If it doesn’t work out I will make adjustments, because I’ve decided to stick with Tiffany’s guide, and go for quality rather than quantity when it comes to building Squidoo lenses.

My aim for next week looks like this:

• Lenses under lensrank 100k: 10 (45%)

Status Goal For Week 4:

• Total Lenses: 26
• Lenses under lensrank 100k: 13 (50%)
