Goals For 2010
2010 is going to be a year of breakthrough for many people’s efforts to break out of the rat race – and become successful in many different ventures.
I’m on a slow – but steady – journey to become a successful online entrpreneur. Squidoo is just one of the avenues I’m working on – but I’m going to intensify my efforts this year – both on and off Squidoo.
I’m a great believer in setting goals. This gives me something to aim for – a tool to gauge my efforts – and use my resources more effectively. I believe that if you are to succeed in anything, you need to set goals – make a plan – and follow it through.
So, in terms of SquidooFreak.com – and my activities on Squidoo – what are my goals for 2010?
- By the end of March 2010 I want to be the lensmaster of 50 great lenses. To me this means 50 lenses with a Squidoo Lensrank below 100,000.
- By the end of June 2010 I want to be the lensmaster of 100 lenses in total. The vast majority of them will be great lenses – but I think it would take too much for all of them to be great lenses. Time will tell
- By the end of September 2010 I want to be the lensmaster of 150 lenses in total, 100 of which I want to be great lenses, so that’s 100 lenses with a lensrank below 100,000.
- By the end of December 2010 I want to have 200 lenses to my name. At this point in time I’m going to start work to ensure that ALL my lenses are great lenses, so they will all have a lensrank below 100,000 by the end of March 2011.
So, what is the point of those goals? Well – as I said before – if you want to be successful in any venture, you need to sel goals and work towards achieving them. I want to be successful on Squidoo, I want to build great lenses and I want my efforts to ensure that I’m not depending on a job to be able to pay my bills.
In the end, what I want to do is to make a comfortable living off the internet, and Squidoo is one of the engines that will help thrust me in that direction.
Following the above goals I’d expect to be earning around $1,200.00 a month from my Squidoo lenses at the end of this year. That may not be a comfortable living, but it sure is better than a slap in face ;o)
From now on – I’ll hold myself to account on these goals – and include them in my monthly post about Squidoo Payouts.
