Squidoo Questions: Is Squidoo Good Advertising
The first question I’m going to answer in my series of Squidoo Questions is: Is Squidoo Good Advertising?
The short answer to question would be Yes – but it’s not quite that simple! Squidoo is not an advertising site as such, where you can post free classified ads like on USFreeAds.com, but rather a mix between a blogging- and social network site, where you can build mini websites (lenses) to advertise your products or indeed affiliate products.
But – in saying that – Squidoo is a very powerful advertising tool because it has a very good relationship with the search engines, which means it’s a very good way to generate traffic from the search engines to direct product advertisements on your lenses, or to your product websites. Best of all, this traffic is free!
Is does take a good understanding on how to build a targeted website, how to do keyword research – and is does take a certain amount of work to get it up and running. The good news is that the amount of work it takes is significantly less than it would be if you were to build a website from scratch, and Squidoo can help you raise the profile of any websites you build.
