New Lens: Pearl Harbor Movie

I’ve been at it again, and crafted a new lens. This time it’s about the Pearl Harbour Movie from 2001, starring Ben Affleck, Kate Beckinsale and Josh Hartnett. This film was a mix of a love story and some rather stunning special effects during the action sequence depicting the Japanese attack on the Pearl Harbor naval base.

So, why on earth am I making a lens about the Pearl Harbour movie? For a number of reasons! First off, I’ve been doing a few lenses about Blu-Ray equipment, so I wanted to venture into releases for the format for cross promotion purposes, and the Pearl Harbour movie is a good one for showing off what the format can do.

But, at the same time, I’ve discovered that if you can link your squidoo lenses to something more than just the product you’re basically promoting, you pull in more visitors! In this case I can put some emphasis on the events of the attack, link to the ample amount of documentaries, books and so on.

Also, and this is an avenue I’m certainly going to explore, it gives me a platform for branching out and making lenses about the main actors of the film, building biographies about them and crafting lenses about other movies they’ve been in…… and that gives me ample material and inspiration for building lenses.
