New Lens: Charlie y Lola Español
Now – yesterday I told you about building a lens about Charlie and Lola – and as I was looking for products to put on the lens, I discovered that the TV-series had been published on some Spanish DVDs as well – and something popped up in the back of my mind.
Tiffany Dow from Social Marketing on Squidoo sent an email, saying that she had successfully converted one of her Squidoo lenses into Spanish, using Google’s translator. The lens had been indexed with Google in less than 6 days without doing any extra work on it, and she had made sales from it! Now, that’s quite impressive!
I thought – if Tiffany can do it – so can I! So I used the Google Translator to put a few of my text modules off the original Charlie and Lola lens into Spanish, set up a new lens called Charlie y Lola Español, and populated it with the translations and the Spanish DVD collections I found. Time is going to tell if I’m as lucky as Tiffany Dow was – but the whole thing took me less than an hour to do – so I haven’t lost a lot.
